This web site is being developed to help scholars, students, and practitioners find materials in Human Rights and Constitutional Rights and to accentuate the continuity between the two.  To that end, we intend to include texts and links to information on both international and domestic law.  The term "constitutional rights" has been chosen to insure that it is clear to the users that domestic law will be covered.   It is used in preference to "civil rights" because the latter phrase can be linked both to domestic law and to the the United Nations Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

The site has been made possible through a grant from the Reed Foundation and is being created at the Diamond Law Library at Columbia University Law School.
